The refurbishment included extensive
remodelling and re-instatement of front
external light-wells and remodelling of the
main entrance foyer. The basement
conversion created five new luxury
apartments together with associated
facilities. The basement had previously
been the restaurant to the apartments on
the upper floors but had been disused and
derelict for many years.
The retention and enhancement of the
existing character of this important building
was a key objective in the scheme.
